Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi penyakit salmonellosis dan gambaran histopatologi duodenum ayam broiler yang terinfeksi Salmonella sp. di pasar wonokromo Surabaya. Total sampel yang didapat sebanyak dua sampel dari satu pasar wonokromo di kota Surabaya. Metode pengujian yang digunakan dalam mendeteksi bakteri Salmonella sp. dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan penanaman pada media Salmonella Shigella Agar (SSA), pewarnaan Gram, uji biokimia. Metode untuk melihat gambaran histopatologi melalui perubahan lesi seperti hemoragi, nekrosis, dan kongesti dalam bentuk semi-kuantitatif dengan metode skoring. Data yang didapatkan dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji Independent sampel T-test. Faktor penting yang mempengaruhi adanya bakteri Salmonella sp. yaitu sanitasi kandang dan lingkungan yang buruk, sedangkan organ duodenum sendiri tergantung tingkat keparahan yang diakibatkan oleh bakteri Salmonella sp.
