Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi bakteri Salmonella sp. dan menggambarkan profil hematologis ayam broiler Gallus dometicus yang terinfeksi salmonellosis. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara laboratoris pada sampel ayam broiler yang menunjukkan gejala klinis salmonellosis dari pasar hidup di Surabaya. Identifikasi bakteri dilakukan melalui isolasi pada media selektif, pewarnaan Gram, serta uji biokimia menggunakan media TSIA, SIM, urease, MR, dan VP. Pemeriksaan hematologis dilakukan untuk menilai jumlah eritrosit, kadar hemoglobin, nilai hematokrit, dan jumlah leukosit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sampel terinfeksi Salmonella sp. yang ditandai oleh pertumbuhan koloni khas pada media selektif, hasil pewarnaan Gram negatif berbentuk batang, serta uji biokimia yang sesuai dengan karakteristik Salmonella sp. Profil hematologis ayam yang terinfeksi menunjukkan penurunan eritrosit, hemoglobin, leukosit, serta perubahan indeks eritrosit yang mengarah pada kondisi anemia. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa infeksi Salmonella sp. berhubungan dengan perubahan profil hematologis pada ayam broiler
