Abstract

Kebersihan lingkungan menjadi isu penting di wilayah padat penduduk seperti Kelurahan Dupak, sehingga peran Kader Surabaya Hebat (KSH) sangat dibutuhkan dalam mengedukasi masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran KSH, strategi yang digunakan, serta hambatan yang dihadapi dalam meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap kebersihan lingkungan. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dengan informan yang terdiri dari kader, perangkat kelurahan, dan masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kader Surabaya Hebat (KSH) berperan sebagai edukator, fasilitator, dan motivator melalui kegiatan Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS), pemantauan jentik, kerja bakti lingkungan, serta pendampingan kegiatan posyandu. Strategi yang diterapkan meliputi pendekatan door to door, komunikasi persuasif, serta pelibatan masyarakat dalam kegiatan kebersihan lingkungan. Hambatan yang dihadapi antara lain keterbatasan waktu kader, tingginya beban tugas, serta masih rendahnya kesadaran sebagian warga terhadap pentingnya menjaga kebersihan lingkungan. Secara keseluruhan, peran Kader Surabaya Hebat (KSH) sangat penting dalam mendukung terwujudnya lingkungan yang bersih dan sehat, namun memerlukan dukungan berkelanjutan dari pemerintah dan partisipasi aktif masyarakat agar pelaksanaannya lebih optimal. kata kunci: Kader Surabaya Hebat (KSH), kebersihan lingkungan, edukasi masyarakat, pemberdayaan masyarakat. viii ABSTRACT Environmental cleanliness is an important issue in densely populated areas such as Dupak Sub-District, making the role of Kader Surabaya Hebat (KSH) essential in educating the community. This study aims to describe the roles of KSH, the strategies they use, and the obstacles they face in increasing public awareness of environmental cleanliness. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and documentation, involving informants consisting of cadres, village officials, and community members. The results show that Kader Surabaya Hebat (KSH) plays roles as educators, facilitators, and motivators through activities related to Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS), mosquito larvae monitoring, community clean-up activities, and assistance in posyandu programs. The strategies applied include door-to-door approaches, persuasive communication, and community involvement in environmental cleanliness activities. The obstacles encountered include limited time, high workload, and the low level of awareness among some residents regarding the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness. Overall, the role of Kader Surabaya Hebat (KSH) is very important in supporting the creation of a clean and healthy environment; however, continuous support from the government and active community participation are needed to optimize its implementation. keywords: surabaya hebat cadres (surabaya great cadres), Environmental Cleanliness, Community Education, Community Empowerment.
