Tirza Fredlina Putri. 2025. “Enhancing Student’s Writing Skills Through Collaborative Writing Activities: A Classroom Action Research in EFL Grade 11th SMA HANG TUAH 1 SURABAYA.” Under the thesis of English Education Department, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Wijaya Kusuma University of Surabaya. Pembimbing (1) Dra. Bekti Wirawati, M.Pd dan (II) Dra. Siti Azizah, M.Pd. Keywords: Enhancing, Writing Narrative text, Collaborative writing This research was aimed at finding out the use of Collaborative Writing as an approach to improve student’s writing skills in narrative text for the eleventh grade at SMA Hang Tuah 1 Surabaya. The research subject was 11.3 class and there were a total of 36 students. Classroom Action Research was used in this study which was conducted in 2 cycles. Each consists of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The technique of collecting data that the researcher used was student’s individually test and observation. The instruments were test and observation checklist. This research was conducted in collaboration with an English Teacher at SMA Hang Tuah 1 Surabaya. The results of this study in cycle 1 there were 21 (58%) students, and in cycle II there were 30 (82%) students passed KKM and achieved the criteria of success which was 70%. It could be concluded that the classroom action was successful in enhancing student’s writing skills through the implementation of using collaborative writing approach especially in writing narrative text at the 11.3 class of SMA Hang Tuah 1 Surabaya.
