Abstract
Magfirah, Yulia, 2024. Using Blooket to Improve the Reading Comprehension Skills of Class VII Students at SMP Kawung 2 Surabaya Advisor : (I) Dr. Ribut Sujowati, S.Pd, M.Pd. dan (II) Dra. Siti Azizah, M.Pd. Keywords : Reading Comprehension Skill, Blooket Media This research “Using Blooket to Improve the Reading Comprehension Skills of Class VII Students at SMP Kawung 2 Surabaya”, Using Classroom Action Research (PTK). This research method is influenced by students' lack of reading comprehension in descriptive texts. The aim of this research is to improve students' reading comprehension using blooket media. This research was conducted at SMP Kawung 2 Surabaya. The subjects of this research were 28 class VII B students. This research was completed in two cycles because the success indicators were met in the second cycle. There were 4 stages in each cycle carried out in this research, such as: Plan, Action, Observation, and Reflection. Tests and observations were used as data collection procedures. The data collection instruments are observation sheets. The research results show that there is an increase in each cycle. In the previous score, the percentage of students who reached the KKM was 28,57%. In cycle I the percentage of students who reached the KKM was 57,14%. In cycle II, the percentage of students who reached the KKM was 89,28%, which means the success indicators have been met. Students also show interest in teaching and learning activities when using Blooket as a learning media. Therefore, it can be concluded that learning using Blooket Media can help students remember the main information and ideas from the texts they have read. In this study, researchers recommend the use of Blooket media in teaching reading comprehension.
