Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan efektivitas pengencer kuning telur 20% dan susu skim 10% terhadap kualitas semen segar Sapi Bali selama penyimpanan pada suhu 5°C. Parameter yang diamati meliputi motilitas, viabilitas, dan abnormalitas spermatozoa. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan tiga perlakuan, yaitu P0 (kontrol), P1 (kuning telur 20%), dan P2 (susu skim 10%) dengan 10 kali pengulangan. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji ANOVA dan dilanjutkan uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pengencer berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap motilitas dan abnormalitas spermatozoa, tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap viabilitas. Motilitas dan viabilitas tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan susu skim 10% masing-masing sebesar 66,63% dan 90,08%, sedangkan abnormalitas terendah diperoleh pada perlakuan Kuning telur 20% sebesar 3,20%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengencer susu skim 10% lebih baik dalam mempertahankan motilitas dan viabilitas spermatozoa, sedangkan kuning telur 20% lebih efektif menekan abnormalitas spermatozoa semen segar Sapi Bali.
