Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media tanam berbasis pupuk organik terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman sawi hijau (Brassica juncea L.) serta menentukan perlakuan terbaik. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan lima perlakuan, yaitu P0 (tanah), P1 (tanah + kompos), P2 (tanah + pupuk kandang ayam), P3 (tanah + pupuk kandang sapi), dan P4 (tanah + pupuk kandang kambing). Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA dan dilanjutkan dengan uji DMRT taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media tanam berbasis pupuk organik berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, panjang daun, lebar daun, luas daun, berat basah tanaman, dan berat kering tanaman. Perlakuan P1 (tanah + kompos) memberikan hasil terbaik pada sebagian besar parameter pengamatan. Dengan demikian, kompos merupakan media tanam berbasis pupuk organik yang paling efektif dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman sawi hijau.
