Abstract

In the era of technological and social media initiatives, political campaigns are not just conventional. The utilization of public opinion space through digital media is much relied upon in political marketing, political communication, and even digital political campaigns. The content uploaded by politicians easily influences individual political behavior. This research focuses on comprehending the political behavior of BLINKs (BLACKPINK fans), particularly in response to the giveaway of BornPink concert tickets in Jakarta organized by the Gerindra Party through the official social media account X. This research employs a quantitative-descriptive method and the netnographic approach, with infinite population size. Samples are taken with a maximum margin of error of 5%, resulting in a sample size of 360 respondents. Research shows that giveaway activities giveaway tickets to the concert of BornPink: Jakarta by the Gerindra party effectively capture the attention of novice voters. Blink displays moderate political behavior by supporting modern campaign methods through social media, although some believe that changes in giveaway requirements need to be made to adjust to culture and k-poppers sensitivity. The use of social media in modern political strategies has succeeded in opening up the potential for novice voters as digital natives to convey political messages. Integration between K-Pop and politics can be considered relevant as long as it does not blur individual perspectives on the political values of both political actors and political parties.
