Abstract

Speaking is the most important thing that everyone should be mastered, because people use it to communicate with others. For Junior High School students, there are many difficulties in mastering speaking skill. It comes not only from the students themselves, but also from the teacher. There are many strategies can be implemented to teach speaking for students, one of them is mind mapping. Mind mapping is a creative thinking strategy. By using this strategy, students will easily express their ideas. Then, they will be able to improve their speaking skill. This paper would like to present the implementation of mind mapping for teaching speaking skill.
