Abstract
Anemia Fe deficiency is the most common anemia, both in developed and developing countries. Iron is the most abundant element found in animals or plants which is often used by humans, but anemia Fe deficiency is the most common cause of anemia in the world. The fragmented red blood cells found in anemia Fe deficiencyarecausedbyoxidativestressconditionsinthebodysothattheredblood cells (erythrocytes) can be damaged or broken. Based on the above background, the authors are interested in researching under the title of the description of fragmented red blood cells in patients with anemia Fe deficiency at Mitra Keluarga Waru Hospital Surabaya for the period 2020-2021. From this description, the purpose of this study to see the overview of fragmented red blood cells in patients with anemia Fe deficiencywithnormalpeopleatMitraKeluargaWaruHospitalSurabayaPeriod I in 2020, where the population used is all anemia Fe deficiency patients and normal people at Mitra Hospital. The Waru Family Surabaya Period I 2020 with 52 samples for anemia Fe deficiency patients and 52 samples for normal people. The results in this study were analyzed using Microsoft Excel and the results will use a bar chart. The results showed that the mean proportion of fragmented red blood cells in patients with anemia Fe deficiency was higher than in normal patients.
