Abstract

ABSTRACT Alhikmah, Muzy, Kiky. 2019. Teaching speaking using mind mapping in senior high school. Final Assigment.English Education Department, the Faculty of language and Science. Wijaya kusuma surabaya University. This study aims to examine the development of students' speaking techniques. includes the characteristics of language sounds, word selection and word structure / syllables. The goal of this paper is to give further explanation about teaching speaking using mind mapping, as an alternative teaching tehnique which can be used in teaching speaking, especially in senior high school. One of the strategies that can be used by the teacher is mind mapping which can helps the students in learning speaking to be able to express their idea. The writer suggest some steps, the first step arragement and participation complete individually or team in the identification of something object's picture is shown by the teacher. in addition, the teacher tells a clue to the student that the object is school, goals and health. to get more point the student should choose one topic to speaking in front of the class.
