Abstract

Writing is important to be mastered since it brings a lot of benefit in daily life. However, writing is difficult and boring activity for learners especially beginners junior high school. It is common fact that they often lack vocabulary and have a low mastery of composition text knowledge, i.e. descriptive text. They often make mistakes in describing objects because they don't know what to explain. Therefore Real Object (Realia) as a media is very useful for students in describing objects that will be written in descriptive text. The advantages of Real Object (Realia) itself are 1.) Real Object (Realia) can be touched, observed, and observed not only that Real Object (Realia) can be found in daily life 2.) Through interaction with Real Object (Realia) students can add experience in possible learning situations and can be a motivation in learning for student 3.) Real Object (Realia) can also be an evaluation material in learning. This paper would like to describe not only the advantages of Real Object but also the implementation of Teaching Writing Descriptie Text by Using Real Object (Realia) for Junior High School Students.
