Abstract

ABSTRAK Dalam pembangunan ekonomi, proses industrialisasi merupakan kunci keberhasilan dari pembangunan itu sendiri. Menurut Simanjuntak (2002), pembangunan di Indonesia pada umumnya dititikberatkan pada percepatan pertumbuhan ekonomi, yakni dengan menempatkan sektor industri sebagai sektor pemimpin (leading sector) dan juga sebagai penyedia lapangan kerja bagi penduduk untuk memenuhi pasar kerja.Untuk itu, Provinsi Jawa Timur sebagai salah salah satu Provinsi di Indonesia telah berbenah diri dalam menumbuh kembangkan sektor industri dalam hal ini Industri Kecil dan Menengah.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatahui pengaruh jumlah unit usaha, nilai investasi, dan nilai produksi terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja pada sektor industri kecil dan menengah di Jawa Timur.Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Model analisis data menggunakan pooled times series melalui program Eviews 9.Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder yang diperoleh dari Dinas Perindustrian dan Perdagangan Provinsi Jawa Timur.Berdasarkan hasil estimasi, diperoleh nilai R-Squared (R2) sebesar 0.703150.Hasil uji F menunjukkan bahwa variabel jumlah unit usaha, nilai investasi, dan nilai produksi berpengaruh terhadap variabel penyerapan tenaga kerja. Sedangkan hasil uji t menunjukkan bahwa jumlah unit usaha dan nilai produksi berpengaruh terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja.Sedangkan nilai investasi tidak berpengaruh terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja. Kata kunci: Tenaga Kerja, Unit Usaha, Investasi, dan Produksi ABSTRACT In economic development, the process of industrialization is the key to the success it self. According to Simanjuntak (2002), development in Indonesia is generally focused on accelerating economic growth, namely by placing the industrial sector as the leading sector and also as a provider of employment for the population to meet the labor market. Therefore, East Java province as one of the provinces in Indonesia has been in the developing industry sector in this case small and medium industries. This research aims to meet the influence of the number of business units, investment value, and the value of production of labor absorption in the small and medium industrial sectors in East Java. This research is quantitative research. Data analysis models use pooled times series through the Eviews 9 program. The data used is secondary data obtained from the East Java provincial industry and trade office. Based on the estimated results, an R-Squared (R2) value of 0.703150 is obtained. F test result show that the variable number of business units, investment value, and production value affect the employment variable. While the results of the t test show that number of business units and the value of production affect the absorption of labor. While the value of investment does not affect labor absorption.
