Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kejadian repeat breeding pada sapi pasca wabah Penyakit Mulut dan Kuku (PMK) di Desa Galis tahun 2024. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif berdasarkan data lapangan dan reproduksi sapi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa dari 195 ekor sapi yang di-IB, sebanyak 36 ekor mengalami repeat breeding dengan tingkat kejadian 26,67%, yang tergolong cukup tinggi dan menunjukkan efisiensi reproduksi belum optimal. Faktor penyebab diduga meliputi dampak pasca PMK, kesalahan deteksi birahi, waktu inseminasi, kualitas pakan, serta kondisi kesehatan reproduksi. Perbaikan manajemen reproduksi, pakan, dan kesehatan ternak diperlukan untuk menurunkan kejadian repeat breeding.
