Abstract

Sugarcane is one of the important plantation commodities that serves as the main raw material for the sugar industry in Indonesia. Sugarcane production is influenced by various production factors that need to be optimally managed to increase output. This study aims to analyze the effect of production factors on sugarcane production, to determine the magnitude of the influence of each factor, and to identify the most dominant factor affecting sugarcane production in Bandaran Village, Kedungjajang District, Lumajang Regency. This research employed a quantitative method. The data consisted of primary data obtained through interviews and questionnaires administered to sugarcane farmers, as well as secondary data collected from journals and relevant institutions. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with logarithmic (Ln) transformation, involving labor, seed, fertilizer, farmer experience, and harvesting age as variables. The results show that labor, seed, fertilizer, farmer experience, and harvesting age simultaneously have a significant effect on sugarcane production. Partially, seed and farmer experience have a significant effect on sugarcane production, while labor, fertilizer, and harvesting age do not have a significant effect. Seed is the factor with the greatest influence on sugarcane production, followed by farmer experience. Therefore, increasing sugarcane production in Bandaran Village can be achieved through the use of high-quality seed and the improvement of farmers’ knowledge and skills. "===============================================================" ABSTRAK Tebu merupakan salah satu komoditas perkebunan penting yang berperan sebagai bahan baku utama industri gula di Indonesia. Produksi tebu dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor produksi yang perlu dikelola secara optimal untuk meningkatkan hasil produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh faktor-faktor produksi terhadap produksi tebu, besarnya pengaruh masing-masing faktor, dan faktor mana yang paling domonan mempengaruhi produksi tebu di Desa Bandaran Kecamatan Kedungjajang Kabupaten Lumajang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Data yang digunakan terdiri dari data primer yang diperoleh melalui wawancara dan kuesioner kepada petani tebu, serta data sekunder yang berasal dari jurnal dan instansi terkait. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan regresi linier berganda dengan transformasi Ln dengan variabel meliputi tenaga kerja, bibit, pupuk, pengalaman petani, dan umur panen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan tenaga kerja, bibit, pupuk, pengalaman petani, dan umur panen berpengaruh signifikan terhadap produksi tebu. Secara parsial, faktor bibit dan pengalaman petani berpengaruh signifikan terhadap produksi tebu, sedangkan tenaga kerja, pupuk, dan umur panen tidak berpengaruh signifikan. Faktor bibit merupakan variabel yang memiliki pengaruh paling besar terhadap produksi tebu, diikuti oleh pengalaman petani. Dengan demikian, peningkatan produksi tebu di Desa Bandaran dapat dilakukan melalui penggunaan bibit berkualitas serta peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan petani.
