Abstract

Hipertensi sering terjadi tanpa gejala dan dapat dipengaruhi oleh Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT). Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan antara hipertensi dan IMT pada polisi usia 30–60 tahun. Desain yang digunakan adalah cross-sectional dengan 60 responden. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Hasil menunjukkan hubungan signifikan antara hipertensi dan IMT (p = 0,000), dengan mayoritas penderita hipertensi memiliki IMT overweight dan obesitas. Pemantauan berat badan dan tekanan darah secara rutin perlu dilakukan, terutama pada profesi dengan risiko tinggi seperti anggota kepolisian.
