Abstract

This study amed to determine the effectiveness of ylang flower extract (Canangium odoratum) against the death of Culex quinquefasciatus mosquito. The experimental animals used were Culex quinquefasciatus mosquitoes totaling 250 samples of Culex quinquefasciatus. The design used was Complete Randomized Design (RAL) complete with 5 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments were PO1 = negative control treatment, PO2 = positive control treatment, P1 = treatment with 20% extract, P2 = treatment with 30% extract, P3 = treatment with extract 40%. The data obtained was analyzed using Anova Test and when showed a real difference, then the analysis was continued with Duncan Test α 0.05. Based on the results Anova test shows the sig value. 0,000 (P <0.05) there was a marked difference between treatments. Duncan test results showed the real difference between the treatment of ylang flower extract 20% with value 2.1640, 30% ylang flower extract with 2.5000, 40% ylang flower extract with 3,2400 value. Conclude that there was influence from the extract of ylang flowers (Canganium odoratum) to the death of Culex quinquefasciatus mosquito.
