Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek pemberian dosis toksik ekstrak daun kembang bulan (Tithonia diversifolia) terhadap gambaran histopatologi hepar dan jumlah total leukosit pada mencit (Mus musculus). Sampel yang digunakan adalah mencit jantan dengan berat badan 25-40 gram sebanyak 24 ekor, dan dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok perlakuan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan memberikan aquades untuk P0, ekstrak daun kembang bulan (Tithonia diversifolia) pada mencit dengan dosis toksik 300mg/kg BB untuk P1, 2000mg/kg BB untuk P2 dan 5000mg/kg BB untuk P3. Setelah perlakuan selama 1x24 jam sampel organ hepar diambil untuk dijadikan histopat lalu diamati perubahan morfologis jaringan dengan lesi nekrosis, dan infiltrasi sel radang melalui pemeriksaan histopatologi. Sampel darah dihitung jumlah total leukosit sebagai indikator respon imun. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan adanya pengaruh pemberian dosis toksik ekstrak daun kembang bulan (Tithonia diversifolia) pada gambaran histopatologi lesi nekrosis dan infiltrasi sel radang, dengan nilai Asym. Sig. 0.000 (P<0.05), sedangkan pemberian dosis toksis ekstrak daun kembang bulan (Tithonia diversifolia) tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan pada jumlah total leukosit, dengan nilai Asymp. Sig. 0.584 (P>0.05).
