Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa flashcard pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup pada tingkatan takson hewan dan tumbuhan untuk peserta didik kelas VII di SMP NU Bahrul Umum. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada temuan bahwa proses pembelajaran pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup masih didominasi oleh metode ceramah dan kurangnya variasi media pembelajaran, yang menyebabkan rendahnya pemahaman siswa terhadap materi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation). Produk yang dikembangkan adalah media pembelajaran flashcard yang memuat informasi visual dan teks terkait klasifikasi makhluk hidup berdasarkan taksonomi Linnaean. Validasi produk dilakukan oleh ahli media dan ahli materi, serta diujicobakan kepada guru dan peserta didik dalam skala terbatas. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa media flashcard berada dalam kategori “sangat layak”, dengan persentase kelayakan sebesar 96,67% dari ahli media dan 95% dari ahli materi. Respons guru terhadap media mencapai 95%, sedangkan respons peserta didik sebesar 99,5%. Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran flashcard yang dikembangkan terbukti layak dan efektif untuk digunakan sebagai alat bantu dalam pembelajaran klasifikasi makhluk hidup, serta mampu meningkatkan minat dan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penggunaan media visual interaktif sebagai strategi inovatif dalam mendukung pembelajaran IPA di tingkat SMP. Kata kunci: Media pembelajaran, Taksonomi, ADDIE ============================================================================ This research aims to develop a learning medium in the form of flashcards on the topic of the classification of living organisms at the taxonomic levels of animals and plants for seventh-grade students at SMP NU Bahrul Umum. The background of this study is based on the finding that the learning process on the topic of the classification of living organisms is still dominated by lecture methods and a lack of variation in learning media, which results in low student understanding of the material. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The developed product is a flashcard learning medium that contains visual information and text related to the classification of living organisms based on Linnaean taxonomy. Product validation was carried out by media experts and material experts, and was tested on teachers and students on a limited scale. The validation results showed that the flashcard media was categorized as 'very feasible', with a feasibility percentage of 96.67% from media experts and 95% from material experts. Teacher response to the media reached 95%, while student response was 99.5%. Thus, the developednflashcard learning media proved to be suitable and effective for use as a tool in teaching the classification of living things, and capable of enhancing students' interest and understanding of the material. This research recommends the use of interactive visual media as an innovative strategy to support science learning at the junior high school level.
