Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat keberhasilan Inseminasi Buatan (IB) pada sapi di Desa Tamansari, Kecamatan Wuluhan, Kabupaten Jember, dengan parameter Service per Conception (S/C) dan Conception Rate (CR). Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan observasional dengan pengumpulan data primer melalui wawancara, observasi lapangan, dan dokumentasi terhadap 107 sapi betina yang di-IB. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai S/C = 1,62 (artinya diperlukan 1-2 kali inseminasi per kebuntingan) dan CR = 61,68%, yang tergolong baik sesuai standar ideal (S/C 1,5–2,0; CR 50–60%). Keberhasilan tertinggi dicapai ketika IB dilakukan pada akhir fase estrus (63,5%), diduga akibat keterlambatan ovulasi pada sapi lokal tropis.
