Maria Juliati Kusumaningtyas, M.Si2) ; Dr. Atik Sri Wulandari, S.KM, M.Kes3) Salah satu permasalahan kesehatan yang paling umum terjadi pada anak- anak adalah masalah karies gigi dan status gizi mereka. Anak usia 6-8 merupakan usia anak duduk dibangku sekolah dasar. Usia ini cukup rentan dengan permasalahan karies serta gizi anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan karies gigi dengan status gizi anak usia 6-8 tahun pada siswa-siswi SDN Putat Jaya I/377 Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian observasional analitik, dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi pada penelitian ini seluruh anak usia 6 – 8 tahun di SDN Putat Jaya I/377 Surabaya hadir saat penelitian berlangsung. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu total sampling yang memenuhi kriteri inklusi dan eksklusi dengan jumlah sampel dalam penelitian yaitu sebanyak 70 anak. Analisis data menggunakan Uji Chi Square. Hasil uji statistic dengan Chi Square menunjukkan P value sebesar 0,395 > 0,05 H0 diterima dan H1 ditolak yang artinya tidak terdapat hubungan antara status karies gigi dengan status gizi pada anak usia 6-8 tahun SDN Putat Jaya I 377 Surabaya. Children aged 6-8 are elementary school age. This age is quite vulnerable to caries problems and child nutrition. This study aims to determine the relationship between dental caries and the nutritional status of children aged 6-8 years in students of SDN Putat Jaya I 377 Surabaya. This study used an analytical observational research design, with a cross sectional using an observational approach. The population in this study were all children age 6 – 8 years of SDN Putat Jaya I/377 Surabaya present during the study. The sampling technique used was total sampling that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria with a total sample of 70 children. Data analysis using the Chi Square Test. The results of statistical tests with Chi Square show a P value of 0.395> 0.05 H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected, which means that there is no relationship between dental caries status and nutritional status in children aged 6-8 years at SDN Putat Jaya I 377 Surabaya.
