ABSTRACT Indriana. 2018.The Use Of SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, And Review) Method In Teaching Reading Comprehension. Advisor : Dra. Ersy Laksita Rini, S.Pd, M.Pd Keyword : SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review) Comprehension is main the odjective of reading and affect the cognizance of all subjects. Learner are effective readers when they are capable of extracting vital iformation from text and associate the new information with their background knowladge. SQ3R is a method that actives learners ‘schemata througt ’survey’. Reasearch shows that students using SQ3R reading comprehension method peformed reading activities better than those who did not. By using SQ3R method students can retain several reading pages.which otherwise are very stressful for them. They can take down notes in their own words.recite them and review them as they finish chapter or at any other siutable time. Teacher can use this method to make reading process less difficult and more interesting.
