Abstract
Reading comprehension involves understanding and interpreting text. Decoding, linguistic understanding, previous knowledge, inference, and metacognition interact complexly. Reading comprehension helps people understand explicit and implicit meanings, relate concepts, critically assess content, and apply it in different circumstances. This study indicated that asking and visualising aid comprehension. emphasize digital literacy and multimodal texts in modern reading comprehension. Students should critically assess and infer authorial intent and literary strategies.
