Abstract

The research entitled Settlement and Forms of Sanctions from the Harmful Application of Legal Metrology Based on Law No. 2 of 1981 aims first to find out the Legal Metrology Arrangements if it Cause Harm Based on Law No. 2 of 1981. Second, to find out the Form of Sanctions and Legal Settlement if Legal Metrology Causes Harm Based on Law No.2 of 1981 concerning Legal Metrology. The Regulation of Legal Metrology if it cause losses then raises the form of sanctions to its legal settlement which is in accordance with normative research based on legislation, namely Law No. 2 of 1981 concering Legal Metrology has regulated all prohibited acts up to fines and imprisonment. The lightness of the form of sanctions can then be used as an additional sanction of punishment that is directly related, namely Law No. 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection. Everything in the field of Metrology, especially Legal Metrology, has been regulated in Law No. 2 of 1981 concerning Legal Metrology, both Legal Metrology Regulation if Causing Losses to the Form of sanctions and Legal Settlement.
