Abstract

DMT2 adalah jenis diabetes yang paling sering terjadi dan merupakan penyumbang lebih dari 90% dari semua diabetes di seluruh dunia. Penderita DMT2 yang memiliki gula darah tinggi dan tidak terkontrol menyebabkan semakin tinggi risiko komplikasi. DMT2 dapat menyebabkan komplikasi kronik yakni komplikasi mikrovaskuler dan makrovaskuler. Salah satu parameter pemeriksaan yang digunakan dalam mengetahui kadar glukosa dalam tubuh yakni pemeriksaan kadar HbA1c. Pengukuran HbA1c selain dapat digunakan untuk menegakan diagnosis, pemeriksaan ini juga dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu parameter untuk mengontrol DM.
