Abstract
Kecamatan Kesamben merupakan salah satu sentra produksi cabai rawit di Kabupaten Jombang. Sebagai sentra produksi maka perlu dilakukan analisis terhadap kelayakan usahatani cabai rawit di kecamatan tersebut dan dilakukan analisis SWOT (Strengths, Weakness, Opportunity, Treats) untuk mengetahui strategi pengembangan usahatani cabai rawit yang ada di Kecamatan Kesamben Kabupaten Jombang. Tujuan penelitian adalah (1) melakukan analisis efisiensi usahatani cabai rawit, (2) mengetahui strategi pengembangan usahatani cabai rawit di Kecamatan Kesamben Kabupaten Jombang. Metode penentuan lokasi penelitian di Kecamatan Kesamben Kabupaten Jombang. Jumlah responden pada penelitian ini sebanyak 30 responden dengan metode sengaja (purposive) dan metode snowball sampling. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode analisis biaya produksi, analisis penerimaan, analisis pendapatan, analisis efisiensi dan analisis SWOT. Hasil penelitian: total biaya rata – rata usahatani cabai rawit/hektar/musim sebesar Rp. 21.626.645, total penerimaan sebesar Rp. 102.600.000/hektar, sehingga dalam satu musim tanam petani cabai rawit mendapatkan pendapatan sebesar Rp. 80.973.355/hektar Tingkat efisiensi sebesar 4,74. Strategi pengembangan usahatani cabai rawit di Kecamatan Kesamben Kabupaten Jombang adalah menggunakan strategi S–O. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa usahatani cabai rawit di Kecamatan Kesamben layak untuk diusahakan dan strategi pengembangan yang dilakukan untuk kegiatan usahatani cabai rawit adalah dengan memanfaatkan secara maksimal kekuatan dan peluang sehingga mampu mendukung pertumbuhan usaha yang agresif. As a production center it is necessary to analyze the feasibility of chili pepper farming in the district and conducted SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weakness, Opportunity, Treats) to know the strategy of chili pepper farming development in Kesamben subdistrict Jombang regency. The objectives of the research are (1) to analyze the efficiency of chili pepper farming, (2) to know the strategy of chili pepper farming development in Kesamben subdistrict Jombang Regency. Method of determining the location of research in Subdistrict, Kesamben Jombang regency. The respondents in this study were 30 respondents with purposive method and snowball sampling method. Methods of data analysis used are methods of production cost analysis, revenue analysis, income analysis, efficiency analysis and SWOT analysis. Result: the total average cost of chili pepper/hectare/season is Rp. 21,626,645, total revenues of Rp. 102.600.000/hectare, so that in one season planting chili pepper get revenue of Rp. 80.973.355/hectare. Efficiency level of 4.74. The strategy of the development of chili pepper farming in subdistrict Kesamben Jombang regency is using S-O strategy. This shows that chili pepper farming in Kesamben subdistrict is feasible to be cultivated and development strategy which is done for chili pepper farming activity is to maximize the strength and opportunity so as to support aggressive business growth.
