Abstract

Abstract Media is a tool to facilitate the learning activity by teachers to students. It makes students more attached and focus with the lesson. In this article TikTok which become popular app nowadays and mostly used by students, used as a tool to teach speaking towards students. This article also aimed to motivate students to learn English and improve their speaking skill also increasing their self-confidence to speak English which will be useful for their future education level even for their careers later on. This article is able to suggest teacher to get more creative in order to make the lesson they taught innovative by using something related with students in millennial era nowadays. Teacher absolutely will get new experience in teaching student by using TikTok especially Duet me: Acting challenge as an anti-mainstream media in teaching. By using it in speaking class, teacher and students will be attractive to get communicated one another to discuss about their lesson by watching and practicing video taken from TikTok, and it makes teaching and learning activity goes well, fun, and interesting.
