Abstract

Virda Aulia. 2017. Teaching Reading Using Twitter as Social Media for Senior High School Students. Pembimbing : Dra. Siti Azizah, S.Pd, M.Pd Reading is very important because reading is a process carried out to get the message contained in the text or understand the meaning. In addition, reading is also useful and becomes a provision of knowledge, increases vocabulary and expands knowledge. Reading is a process that is both physical and psychological, where we visually observe writing and think in processing the information in the reading. The use of social media Twitter is very popular among the public, not limited by age, almost everyone knows, uses, even active on Twitter. One of them is students, students are the most active users who often use Twitter and use it as a place to share information or just interact. Twitter has various features that provide extraordinary convenience for its users, such as providing messaging services, sharing photos, and videos to offering facilities for users to freely express their opinions.
