Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know: (1) about the effect of compensation appropriation on work motivation of production employee at PT Bahana Buana Box in Demak, (2) about the influence of compensation suit on employee work satisfaction at PT Bahana Buana Box in Demak, (3) the influence of work motivation on employee work satisfaction of production department at PT Bahana Buana Box in Demak. This research includes associative or causal research using a quantitative approach. The population in this research is employees of production department of PT Bahana Buana Box in Demak which amounted to 246 people. Sampling technique in this research is probability sampling. With a sample of employees at the production of PT Bahana Buana Box in Demak, amounting to 142 people. Data were collected with questionnaires that have been tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis technique used is Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis which is operated through AMOS 24.0 program. Result of research at 5% significance level indicate that: (1) Compensation have positive and significant effect to work motivation. This is evidenced by the estimate value of 0.661 with P-value of 0.000 <0.05. (2) Work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction. This is evidenced by the estimate value of 0.741 with P-value of 0.000 <0.05. (3) Compensation has negative and insignificant effect on Job Satisfaction. This is evidenced by the estimate value of -0.003 with P-value of 0.973>0.05. Keywords: Compensation, Work Motivation, Job Satisfaction
