Abstract
ABSTRAK Komposisi buah nanas mengandung vitamin A, B, dan C yang tinggi, kal-sium, fosfor, lemak, karbohidrat, magnesium, kalium, dekstrosa, sukrosadan air, dan enzim Bromelin. Bagi kesehatan manusia, enzim bromelin dapat mengurangi rasa sakit dan pembengkakan karena luka atau operasi. Bromelin dikenal untuk aplikasi klinis terutama menghambat pertumbuhan tumor, pembekuan darah, pe-ningkatan aksi antibiotik dan anti inflamasi. Telah di ketahui pula bahwa enzim-bromelin ini dapat mempengaruhi dengan cara menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri. Sedangkan propionibacterium acness termasuk bakteri flora normal padakulit. Propionibacterium acness merupakan bakteri gram positif, pleomorfik, dan bersi-fat anaerob aerotoleran. Bakteri ini berperan dalam pembentukan acnes. Dari uraian tersebut maka didugabuah nanas (Ananascomosus (L.)Merr) mempunyai efek daya hambat terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri. Oleh karena itu peneliti tertarik untuk membuktikan apakah nanas (Ananascomosus (L.)Merr) mempunyai aktifi-tas sebagai antibakteri terhadap pertumbuhan bakteripropionibacterium acness Populasi penelitian ini adalah bakteri Propionibacterium acnes yang dipero-leh dari Laboratorium Mikrobiologi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Wijaya Ku-suma Surabaya, dengan total keseluruhan sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 25 karena masing-masing sampel menggunakan 5 media, yang artinya pada kelom-pok I – V dilakukan 5 kali percobaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji One Way Anova. Dan dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh pemberian ek-strak buah nanas (Ananascomosus (L.)Merr) terhadap pertumbuhan Propionibac-terium acness ditunjukkan oleh diameter zona hambat yang terbentuk. Dimana pada kelompok yang diberi ekstrak buah nanas (Ananascomosus (L.) Merr) P4 ditemukan diameter zona hambat yang paling tinggi bila dibandingkan dengan kelompok perlakuan yang lain. For human health, the bromelin enzyme can reduce pain and swelling due to injury or surgery. Bromelin is known for clinical applications especially inhibiting tumor growth, blood clotting, increasing antibiotic and anti-inflammatory action. It has also been known that these enzymes can influence by inhibiting bacterial growth. Whereas propionibacterium acness includes normal bacterial flora on the skin. Propionibacterium acness is a gram-positive, pleomorphic, and anaerobic aerotolerant bacterium. These bacteria play a role in the formation of acnes. From the description, fruit pineapple (Ananascomosus (L.) Merr) has a inhibitory effect on bacterial growth. Therefore researchers are interested in proving whether pineapple (Ananascomosus (L.) Merr) has activity as an antibacterial against the growth of bacteripropionibacterium acness The population of this study was the bacteria Propionibacterium acnes obtained from the Laboratory of Microbiology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya, with a total of 25 samples used because each sample used 5 media, which means that in the group I - V five trials were carried out. Parametric test, namely the One Way Anova test. And from the results of the study showed the effect of giving pineapple extract (Ananascomosus (L.) Merr) to the growth of Propionibacterium acness indicated by the diameter of the inhibitory zone formed. Where in the group given pineapple fruit extract (Ananascomosus (L.)
