Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitianinibertujuanuntukmendeteksikandunganantigen canine distemper viruspada serum darahanjing di desaRogaKabupatenEnde Flores Nusa Tenggara Timur.Jenispenelitian yang digunakanadalahpenelitiandeskriptifdenganmenggunakanmetoderapid test kit. Sampel yang digunakan 10 ekoranjingumur 1 sampai 6 bulandan 10 ekoranjingumur 7 bulansampai 4tahun yang dikoleksidariDesaRoga.Pemeriksaansampelmenggunakanantigen rapid test kit canine distemper ag,hasilpemeriksaanmenunjukannegative bahwatidakterdeteksi virus distemper padasemuasampeldarah yang berasaldarilokasipemeriksaan.Hasil negative dikarenakanadanyavaksinasi.Berdasarkanpenelitian yang dilakukan, diperolehkesimpulanbahwatidakditemukan virus distemper padaanjing di DesaRogaKecamatanNdonaTimurKabupatenEnde Flores Nusa Tenggara Timurdikarenakanadanyavaksinasi virus distemper padatahun 2016 danberubahnyapolapikirmasyarakattentangcarapemeliharaananjing. Kata Kunci :Anjing, Distemper, Serum, Rapid test kit, Roga. ================================================================ ABSTRACT This objective of this research was to detect the Virus Distemper in 10 Dogs aged 1 to 6 months and 10 Dogs aged 7 months to age 4 years. The type of research is descriptive using rapid test kit method on blood samples of dog collected from Roga Village, East Ndona Sub-district, Ende Flores District East Nusa Tenggara. Blood taken on dogs is done on the vena cephalica. After the blood is taken, it is then inserted into the venoject tube without EDTA and left to stand for room temperature for 24 hours until serum formation. After serum is formed, the serum is dropped on Rapid Test Antigen Kit Canine Distemper Ag. Then wait 10 minutes for reading test results. The data obtained were analyzed by using detection of Canine Antigen Distemper Virus showed negative results that no virus detected in all blood samples from the examination location. Based on the research, it can be concluded that no Distemper Virus was found in Dogs in Roga Village, Eastern District of Ende Flores Regency East Nusa Tenggara due to the Vaccination of Distemper Virus in 2016 and the changing of people’s mindset about dog breeding.
