Abstract

Fermentasi buah berenuk (Crescentia cujete L.) mengandung senyawa bioaktif yang berpotensi memiliki aktivitas antiinflamasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh pemberian fermentasi buah berenuk terhadap imunoekspresi COX-2 pada lambung tikus Sprague Dawley. Penelitian eksperimental ini menggunakan 16 ekor tikus Sprague Dawley jantan yang dibagi menjadi kelompok kontrol (P0) dan kelompok perlakuan (P1) yang diberi fermentasi buah berenuk dosis 500 mg/kg BB selama 90 hari. Imunoekspresi COX-2 dianalisis menggunakan metode imunohistokimia, kemudian data dianalisis dengan Independent Sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rerata imunoekspresi COX-2 pada kelompok P0 sebesar 17,07 ± 2,90% dan P1 sebesar 14,24 ± 3,88%, namun tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelompok (p = 0,121). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pemberian fermentasi buah berenuk dosis 500 mg/kg BB selama 90 hari tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap imunoekspresi COX-2 pada lambung tikus Sprague Dawley.
