Abstract
This research presents the improvements of students speaking skill implementing video. The aims of the study is to find out whether using video can improve students speaking skill at XI-2A grade SMA Hang Tuah 4 Surabaya. The researcher chose this class because at XI-2A have low score in speaking skill. In this class only 53,125% students can achieve KKM. This research used classroom action research (CAR) with two cycle, in order to find out improvement of the students speaking skill by using video. The researcher used two cycle, each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The result of this study there was an improvement of students speaking skill by using video. In cycle 1 showed that there were 21 students from 32 students can achieve KKM. It means, there were only 65,125% can achieve KKM. And in cycle2, there were 26 students from 32 students can achieve KKM. It means, there were 81% students got success. So, it clear that video could improve students speaking skills.
