Abstract

Listiana, 2025, Penerapan Model Reciprocal Teaching Pada Kemampuan Membaca Pemahaman Siswa Kelas 4 Mata Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya. Hery Setiyawan, M.Pd. dan Anna Roosyanti, M.Pd. This study aims to analyze the application of the Reciprocal Teaching model on the reading comprehension ability of fourth grade students in Indonesian Language subjects at SD Muhammadiyah Menganti. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with stratified sampling based on the level of students' reading comprehension ability (high, medium, low) in class IV C. The research data includes learning management by teachers, student activities, learning outcomes, and student responses to learning. The results showed that the management of learning by teachers got an average score of 3.9 (good category), which reflects the teacher's competence in managing the class. Student activities in learning got an average score of 2.9 (good category), which shows active student participation. Learning outcomes through evaluation tests showed a classical completion rate of 66.6%, reflecting the achievement of classical reading comprehension ability standards. In addition, student responses to learning through questionnaires reached 90% (very positive category), indicating student acceptance of the Reciprocal Teaching model. Thus, the application of the Reciprocal Teaching model has proven effective in improving students' reading comprehension abilities.
