Putri, Eka Sagita Amalia. 2024. “THE USE OF VIDEO TO IMPROVE STUDENTS’ LISTENING SKILL AT TENTH GRADE OF SMK 2 KAWUNG SURABAYA”. Under the thesis of English Education Department, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Wijaya Kusuma University of Surabaya. Advisor by Dra. Bekti Wirawati, M.Pd. and Dr. Ribut Surjowati, M.Pd. Keywords : Improving, Video, Listening Skills This study aimed to find out the use of video as a medium to improve listening skills for students of class X MPLB 2 SMK Kawung 2 Surabaya. The subjects of this study were students of class X MPLB 2 SMK Kawung 2 Surabaya with a total of 23 students. This research is a classroom action research that consists of two cycles. In each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely plan, action, observation, and reflection. The techniques in data collection are tests and observation. the instruments used are tests and observation checklists. This research involved the English teacher of SMK Kawung 2 Surabaya named Mrs. Dyan Wahyuningtyas, S.Pd. as a collaborator. The results of this study, that in the previous score the number of students who passed KKM 75 was 3 students with a percentage score of 13.04% converted to 13%. In cycle 1, 12 students reached the Completeness Minimum Criteria with a percentage of 52.17% converted to 52%. In cycle 2, 18 students reached the Completeness Minimum Criteria with a percentage of 78.26% converted to 78%. In cycle 2, students have achieved success indicator. It can be concluded that classroom action research through the implementation of video as media is successful in improving the listening skills of students in class X MPLB 2 SMK Kawung 2 Surabaya.
