Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of Natural Science on Ecosystem Components in fifth grade students of SD Ma’arif Al-Fattah Surabaya, 2018/2019 school year. Through the application of Popup Book media in the learning process, it is expected to create an active classroom atmosphere, thus leading to increased learning outcomes. This research aims to find out how the application of Pop-up Book media to increased learning outcomes of Natural Science on Ecosystem Components in fifth grade students of SD Ma'arif Al-Fattah Surabaya. This research is a Classroom Action Research, and was conducted in 2 cycles, with 30 students as research subjects. Data collection techniques consist of tests, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique was carried out descriptively, qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of data analysis showed that student learning outcomes increased, as evidenced by the percentage of completeness of student learning outcomes in the first cycle of 43% and increased in the second cycle to 86%, so it can be concluded that there was an increase in learning outcomes of Natural Science for Ecosystem Components through the application of Pop-up Book media.
