Abstract

Research entitled LAW ENFORCEMENT AGAINST POLICE OFFICERS WHO DO NOT PROVIDE SERVICES TO THE COMMUNITY IN SPKT. The aim is to find out and increase public understanding regarding the form of law enforcement against police officers who do not provide services to the community. Apart from that, to find out and analyze the police reporting procedures in providing services to the community. Not only that, there is another aim which is to find out and analyze how the sanctions given to police officers who do not provide good services to the community are implemented. Because on the other hand, police officers who are not professional in carrying out their duties and obligations in the form of not providing good services to the community are quite common. So the public thinks that the National Police Agency does not provide an understanding of community services to its personnel, so that public confidence in the performance of the National Police is decreasing. This is considered dangerous because it can damage the image of the National Police. In cases that occur, many police officers still violate the National Police's professional code of ethics by not providing good service to the community. The research method used in this thesis uses the Normative legal research method which is literature research, namely research on laws and regulations and literature or reading materials related to the material discussed. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that Legal Policy through the approach of Police Regulation No. 7 of 2022 concerning the Code of Ethics and the Republic of Indonesia Police Code of Ethics Commission to handle legal action against police officers who do not provide services to the community in accordance with the National Police's professional code of ethics. As well as the Police reporting procedures in accordance with Police Regulation no. 6 of 2019 concerning Criminal Investigation. Keywords : Police, Public Service, Professional code of ethics.
