Abstract
ABSTRACT In the era of business competition, especially during a pandemic, improving company performance is one strategy to compete in the business world. Companies need to regulate and evaluate their performance and make some improvements in order to grow and continue to compete. A series of improvements are carried out by the company continuously in order to improve the company's performance. One way to improve and improve the company's performance is by restructuring debt. The method used in this thesis is using a normative research method with library research which is a study of the laws and regulations and literature or reading materials related to the material discussed. Based on the research conducted, there is a conclusion that the debt restructuring carried out by PT. Garuda Indonesia, which is taken by using the Debt Payment Suspension or PKPU route, in other words PT. Garuda Indonesia strives to improve the company's performance by deferring the obligation to pay debts. PT. Garuda Indonesia as a debtor can pay off its debts to its creditors so that it can guarantee creditors to get debt payments from debtors in full.
