Zenitha Authani Ula. 2022. Content Analysis ‘Aim High’ Student Book 4 Textbook For 10th Grade Senior High School. Final Project Department faculty of langage and Science. Wijaya Kusuma University at Surabay. Advisor I: Dr.Siti Azizah, M.Pd, Advisor II: Drs.H. Heru Wibowo, M.Pd. Reading has important roles in the teaching and learning process of foreign languages. In English Teaching Learning, teachers have their own English textbook as teaching materials in class. Based on that, textbooks has play an important role and it’s important to the teacher to choose a good textbooks. Many researcher found that content of the textbook affects the level of difficulty of the study. In this study the writer choose to content analysis the genre and lexical density in reading text in the ‘Aim High Student Book 4’ Textbook for 10th Grade Senior High School. The aims of this study are: (1) what kind of genre contained in the reading texts found in Aim High Student Book 4 textbook for 10th grade senior high school, (2) what is the lexical density of the reading texts found in ‘Aim High Student book 4. The data are collected 6 reading texts found ‘Aim High Student Book 4’. They are divided into many types of text. The result of the analysis showed 3 genre they are recount, report and narrative. The lexical density of reading text in ‘Aim High Student book 4 is around 40%- 50%. It means that the reading texts are sufficient lexical densities. It indicates that the text is not too complicated, easy to comprehend, and appropriate for students. Keyword: Reading, Textbook, Lexical Density
