Abstract

This paper would like to describe not only the advantages of using songs for listening comprehension, but also how to implement it in class. The advantages of using songs for listening comprehension are including to enhace the ablity of student about semantic and axiology implication of the words used in the song, it can be used as a learning tool as well as to increase their confidence. Practically, songs with AA, AB and AABA form are found to be the most suitable song form to be used in teaching English because it has simple lyric and also easy to follow.
