Abstract

EFEK EKSTRAK DAUN DADAP SEREP (Erythrina subumbrans) SEBAGAI ANTIBAKTERI ALAMI TERHADAP Staphylococcus aureus SECARA IN VITRO Bobby Wahyu Darmawan ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efek ekstrak daun dadap serep (Erythrina subumbrans) terhadap Staphylococcus aureus. Penelitian ini menggunakan 5 perlakakuan yang terdiri dari P(-) Blank Disk sebagai kontrol negatif, P(+) Amoxicillin Disk sebagai kontrol positif , P1 ekstrak daun dadap serep konsentrasi 60%, P2 ekstrak daun dadap serep konsentrasi 80%, P3 ekstrak daun dadap serep konsentrasi 100%. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan, bahwa ekstrak daun dadap serep dalam konsentrasi 60%, 80% dan 100% tidak efektif menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus. Uji fitokimia ekstrak daun dadap serep antara lain (1) Tanin 2,96% (2) Saponin 4,01% (3) Flavonoid 3,87% (4) Steroid 2,08% (5) Alkaloid 5,11% (6) Triterpenoid 2,15% dan (7) Poliphenol 3,56%. Nilai rata-rata zona hambat P1 0 mm, P2 0 mm, P3 0 mm, kontrol + (Amoxicillin disk) 12,56 mm dan kontrol – (blank disk) 0 mm. Kandungan antibakteri menunjukkan angka yang sangat rendah, ini yang menjadi penyebab ekstrak daun Dadap Serep tidak mampu menghambat pertumbuhan Staphylococcus aureus pada media Muller Hinton Agar (MHA). Kata kunci: Ekstrak Daun Dadap Serep, Staphylococcus aureus, Amoxicillin, Zona Hambat, Fitokimia.
