Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Moringa oleifera leaf extract on the diameter of the growth inhibition zone of Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria. The population in this study was the Pseudomonas aeruginosa culture obtained at the UPTD. Bali Provincial Health Laboratory Center. The independent variable in this study was Moringa oleifera leaf extract with a concentration of 80%, 90%, 100% and the dependent variable was the diameter of the bacterial inhibition zone Pseudomonas aeruginosa. This study used a diffusion method by immersing the disc at the concentration of the extract and placing it in the middle of the media containing the tested bacteria. The data analysis of this research was then tested using the one way ANOVA statistical test. The results of the study based on statistical tests showed that Moringa leaf extract had no effect on the inhibition zone of Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria because the p-value was> 0.05, although in plain view it could be seen that it formed the inhibition zone diameter but there was no significant difference between the concentration and control positive.
