Abstract

Tuak is a liquid / drink that has alcohol with a content of 4% made from coconut juice or made from tapped palm, palm and palm sugar. The world health institution records that there are 3 million deaths each year due to alcohol use. According to several studies consuming large doses of alcohol can produce multilevel metabolic effects, causing damage to the liver, renal and digestive system. This study aims to determine the effect of giving palm wine from Lokasari Village, Sidemen District to the kidney function of white rats (Rattus norvegicus). And the sample in this study used is white mice (Rattus norvegicus) with a total of 24 research subjects. The independent variable in this study was 2 ml/day Tuak with a concentration of 5%, 10%, and 20% and the dependent variable was creatinine level and blood serum urea. The data analysis of this research was tested using the One Way ANOVA statistical test. The results showed that there was no effect of giving palm wine from Lokasari Village, Sidemen District 5%, 10%, 20% given 2 ml / day for 14 days on the Kidney Function of White Rats (Rattus norvegicus).
