Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of knowing the relationship between hypertension and diabetic ulcers in diabetes mellitus patients at Puskesmas Sukodono. By describing the descriptive data of diabetic ulcers and hypertension in patients with diabetes mellitus in Puskesmas Sukodono. This type of research is an analytical study with a case control method. Where the population in this study were all data on diabetes mellitus patients who were treated at the Sukodono Health Center in 2019 with a sample size of 35 respondents as cases and 35 respondents as controls. The data analysis used was the chi-square test with a significance level (<0.05) which was then followed by an odd ratio test with a significance level (> 1). And from the results of the analysis, it is known that there is no relationship between hypertension and the incidence of diabetic ulcers in diabetes mellitus patients at Puskesmas Sukodono, Sidoarjo in 2020 (value P = 0.470 > 0.05), and for hypertension risk factors with value OR = 0.706 (CI 95% = 0,274-1,820) which strengthens the assumption that hypertension is not a risk factor for diabetic ulcers in diabetes mellitus patients at the Puskesmas Sukodono, Sidoarjo in 2020
