Abstract

Muljo, Agnes Laurensia. 2020. An Internal and External Conflict of Main Characters in Nadia Short Film by Tenenbaum. Wijaya Kusuma University. Dukuh Kupang. Surabaya. Advisor: (I) Dra. Bekti Wirawati, M.Pd. (II) Dra. Hj. Siti Azizah, M.Pd. This study aimed to find (1) How can internal conflicts of main character in Tenenbaum’s Nadia Short Film be happened and (2) Why can external conflicts of main character in Tenenbaum’s Nadia Short Film be happened. This study was descriptive qualitative using intrinsic approach to find internal and external conflicts of main character that were appeared from Nadia short film. Based on data analysis, the findings showed two internal conflicts and three external conflicts through table and classified into two points through description and documents are 1) Internal Conflict and 2) External Conflict with two elements of external conflict such as two conflicts of Man Vs Man and one conflict of Man Vs Society were appeared from this short film. Based on findings, it can be concluded that the main character had five conflicts both internal and external, because of her problem with her math teacher as a main cause of her mistakes with.
