Herry Kusmiharto, M.Pd Keyword: Reading, Reading Comprehension, Comic strips, PQRST This study was aimed talk about the use of comic strips in teaching reading to junior high school. The focus of this study was to discuss about using comics to teach junior high school student along with the PQRST strategy that would be used.Reading comprehension is the ability to get information in a text and be able to interpret it appropriately. Reading comprehension is a combination of data from a text and own background knowledge to understanding the message conveyed by the author. However, not all of the Junior High School students learn reading comprehension easily, which is caused by the learning activity, which is not really interesting so that the students get bored. A blend of methods and media which the writer is trying to describe in this paper is expected to improve students' reading comprehension skills. The media used is comic strips, and the applying method is PQRST. It is a kind of activity where students are asked to read a comic and to try to understand quickly what the story is contained in the comic.
