Abstract

This paper is about the procedure of teaching writing using photograph descriptive text in junior high school in the academic year 2019/2020. In this paper discussed what media can be used in learning writing descriptive text. There are five steps in teaching writing. The first step in this case is explanation. At this time, the teacher gives students examples of the types of texts that will be studied. The second way, is to motivate students. Here, teachers will motivate students to find ideas in a fun way so students can help learning effectively. Third step is supporting. Actually, students need a lot of help and input from the teacher. The four step is suggestion. In this step, the teacher provides suggestions for student work, compilation of students' work is wrong or not right, the teacher gives the right example. The last step, this is a question in every task or activity. In assessing, the teacher assesses student work as the final product. When receiving, the teacher will get a score for each student. This is very effective and makes it easy for students to do it.
