Abstract

ABSTRACT I Gede Tanjung Agung Suputra. 2019. The Intellectual Intelligence and Student Learning Achievement’s Relationship in SMA Negeri 1 Denpasar. Thesis. Medical School. Wijaya Kusuma University Surabaya. Supervisor: dr. Ibrahim Njoto., M.Hum., M.Ked., PA Intelligence is one of many aspects that determines the success or failure of a student in learning. However, students with low intelligence do not necessarily to get low learning achievements because of many other factors that affect achievement. Therefore, researchers are interested in examining further about the relationship of intellectual intelligence with learning achievement. This study using all students of SMA Negeri 1 Denpasar with the total of 1,258 students, they are 426 students of class X, 417 students of class XI and 415 students of class XII as the population. Samples were used in the study are 126 students with simple random sampling techniques. The data obtained from the respondents is analyzed quantitatively, which uses an analytical tool in the form of a statistical method whose results are presented in the form of numbers which are then presented and interpreted in the form of descriptions. To answers the main questions of the study, the researcher using the Spearman test. From the results of the study indicate a relationship between intellectual intelligence and student achievement in SMA Negeri 1 Denpasar. This is evidenced by the value of the correlation coefficient (correlation coefficient) of 0.657, then this value indicates a high relationship between the relationship between intellectual intelligence and student achievement.
