ABSTRACT Rochmawati, Feni (2018). Teaching Reading Using Recount Text for Eight Grade in Junior High School. The First Advisor : Dra. Lusy Tunik Muharlisiani,M.Pd Keyword: Teaching and Learning Process, Reading, K-13, Recount text The objectives of this paper are to explain the compability of the planned teaching and learning process improving reading of the eight grade in Junior High School trough reading.The method of this paper, at the first, motivate to read in orderto understand a text and practice, student do also makes them untrained to understand the dept. Second, advised to apply this strategy with respect to student level of competence. In the result, first, the student consider reading is a tedious activity. Second, they are unable to explain what they actually read and write in response to the exercise given.
