Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas perbandingan hormon prostaglandin dengan cara injeksi intramuskular dengan merk dagang berbeda terhadap kecepatan dan lama estrus pada sapi Bali. Hewan percobaan yang digunakan adalah sapi bali (bos sondaicus) dengan jumlah 21 ekor. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimental dengan tiga perlakuan (P1), Capriglandin 5 ml, (P2) Lutalyse 5 ml, dan (P3) Juramate 2 ml. Data yang diperoleh meliputi kecepatan dan lama estrus dalam satuan jam. Pengujian hormon Capriglandin, Lutalyse , dan Juramate terhadap kecepatan birahi menunjukan kecepatan P1 69 jam, P2 56 jam, dan P3 55 jam sedangkan lama birahi P1 17 jam, P2 14 jam, dan P3 13 jam. Dari penelitian ini didapatkan hasil hormon juramate menunjukan reaksi timbulnya estrus yang lebih cepat dan hormon capriglandin menunjukan reaksi lamanya estrus lebih lama dibandingkan merk dagang lutalyse. Kata Kunci : prostaglandin merek dagang berbeda, Kecepatan dan Lama birahi, sapi Bali ABSTRACT The purpose of this research was to known the effectivity of the hormone compared the different brand of prostaglandin hormone with intramuscular injection. to the speed and period estrus at Balines cows. The samples of research used 21 Balines cows, with using three treatment such as (P1)contained 5 ml capriglandins (P2), 5 ml lutalyses (P3), and 2 ml Juramates. The data obtained were speed and the lust period an hour. Testing capriglandin ,lutalyse and juramate hormone toward the lust speed showing (P1) speed it need 69 hours, (P2) 56 hours and (P3) 55 hours meanwhile the lust period of (P1) need 17 hours,( P2) 14 hours and (P3) 13 hours. The conclusion is shows the reaction of the juramate hormone result it arised of the estrus more faster and capriglandin hormone shows more longer reaction of estrus than the brand trade lutalyse.
